Hi, I’m Karl aka Slapmongous.

The name Slapmongous comes from way back in my early gamer days when I was blessed with a prematurely receding hairline and an exceedingly slappable forehead. “Slappy da Forehead” morphed into “Slappy” which finally became “Slapmongous”.

Not the worst nickname in the world 🙂

In the real world I’m a husband, father and, now part time, gamer. I have worked in IT for several decades but have moved away from programming, which first encouraged me to get into the industry. As my children grew and I slowly managed to eek out a little time to myself, I decided to take on the challenge of learning a new programming language to create my first digital art.

It is still early days in my digital art journey, but I have learned loads already and can honestly say it is so much more fun than my day job.
